Portable Embedded Technology Resource (PETR) is a collection of highly-portable software assets suitable for development of real-time embedded applications in C++. Resource distribution includes implementation codebase (C++), unit tests (gtest), sample applications (C and C++), build makefiles (GNU make), and support scripts (python). PETR resource can be built using different toolchains and packaged into a library.

PETR resource provides solution to a number of needs arising during software development projects:

• Selection of flexible release versioning system
• Easy integration of unit tests framework
• Effective build support for multiple toolchains
• Short build times using parallel builds
• Auto-generation of project documentation
• Reliable automagic build system and release packaging
• Provision of a simple and flexible logging system
• Implementation of (array-like) sequence and array containers
• Implementation of (queue-like) buffer and queue containers
• Implementation of (stack-like) pile and stack containers
• Addition of instrumentation to selected classes

Supported toolchains include GCC 6.3, GCC 8.1, GCC 9.2, VS 2015, VS 2017, and VS 2019.
